They pretty much disappeared in the 1960's, probably due in part to Brunswick efforts at the beginning of the 1960's to clean up the image of pool.
Brunswick introduce the Gold Crown I in 1961 in 4 colors with 4 new colors of billiard felt. The idea was to create a Family Game Center that you could bring the whole family to. The game boards no longer fit the image of the new pool rooms and disappeared with the old pool tables.
We do not offer a Ke-no board, but there are a couple of companies that may still offer these boards.
AE Schmidt shows one on their web site and some of the boards shown have phone numbers on them and may still be producing them.
Many of the images presented below will have links to much larger pictures to assist you in seeing how the boards were laid out. Also below are the rules for Keyno also know as Keeno, Ke-no and the rules for Amos and Andy.
The rules for these games are similar, You can probably figure out the rules for your board by reading the rules for the ones I was able to acquire. Most of the images are large and there are links to even larger pictures. I did that so that you could make out the numbers on the various boards.

Rules for KEYNO KE-NO KEENO
1. Place the Keyno Game Board at the “head” end of the table and rack the 15 numbered balls, in a pyramid, on the “spot” at the other end of the table (as for rotation pool).
2. The first player in each game, breaks the balls from anywhere back of the string line, in front of the Keyno board, with sufficient force to drive at least one object ball to one cushion rail.
3. Each player gets one shot per inning, in turn, and may play any object ball without calling his shot.
4. Balls pocketed are out of play for the remainder of the game.
5. If the cue ball is pocketed or remains on the Keyno board (except in a No. 16 hole), it is “scratched” and the next player shoots with it from anywhere back of the string line.
6. A player about to shoot in his turn may either “spot” or play for any numbered ball that has come to rest on the board, outside of a hole.
7. Player making more than one ball at a time is credited with all the balls he holes on that shot.
8. Player dislodging a holed ball and making it in another hole is credited with it as if holed in the usual manner. The original player retains his credit for first holing the ball.
9. Sixty-one points wins the game. The number of the holed ball plus the number of the hole into which it is lodged is the player’s score for that inning. Example: Player scores 10 points if he holes No. 4 ball in No 6 hole—even when he scratches the cue ball on the shot.
10. Player wins and the game is over:
a. When a numbered ball is holed in the same numbered hole as the object ball.
b. If any numbered ball is made in a “Keyno” hole.
Rules for KE-NO
These rules are for the second Ke-NO Board shown page 38 pictured above
Ke-No For 2 to 15 players – fast game, high profits. Usual charge is 5 cents per cue up to 5 players, maximum charge of game 25 cents.
The Ke-No board covers on end of table, can be used on billiard, pocket or snooker table, but must be played with a standard set of 15 2 ¼” striped and numbered pocket billiard balls.
Boards are sturdily constructed of 3/8” particle board, painted in rotation ball colors with overall protective lacquer finish.
Overall sizes: 4 x 8 - 44”x26”; 4 ½ x 9 - 50”x26”; 5 x 10 – 56”x26”.

1. Board is placed at head of table. Fifteen numbered balls are racked in the usual manner on foot spot. Kelly pills are shaken to determine order of shooting, then all the Kelly pills are replaced in the bottle.
2. Shake each player a Kelly pill. These pills correspond to the numbered holes on board. Players keep pills until there is a winner determined by any numbered balls going into a hole for which there is a pill out.
3. First player breaks the balls from in front of the board at head of table. He continues shooting at any ball he wishes until:
a. There is a winner
b. He scratches
c. He fails to get a numbered ball in any hole on the board.
If the cue ball remains on the board, any balls made on the shot are considered “Made”, player loses turn, next player begins to shoot. Therefore if a winner is made when cue ball remains on board, it counts.
4. If a numbered ball comes to rest on board, but is not holed, it remains on the board. If ball is dislodged by a later shot and rolls into a hole, it counts for the player who dislodged it.
5. Any numbered balls pocketed are re-spotted after the shot.
6. Shooter can when if:
a. On the break any numbered ball goes into Ke-No Star in center of board. Center hole in Ke-No star is double Ke-No. Players pay of double to the winner.
b. After break any red ball ( 3, 7, 11, or 15 ) goes into Ke-No Star.
c. A numbered ball goes into a hole with the same number as that on the ball. Example 5 ball into 5 hole, 8 ball into 8 hole etc. Except, that if a player has a pill for that numbered hole, the player with the pill, even if not shooting, wins the game.
d. A ball goes into one of the Ke-No holes and matches its color ( 1 or 9 ) into the yellow hole, 6 or 14 into the green hole, etc.
Kelly pills are not re-shaken after these types of wins.
7. Any player can win, whether shooting or not, If a ball comes to rest in a numbered hole, for which he holds the corresponding Kelly pill. This winner has priority over all other wins, made on the same shot. After this type of win, the Kelly pills are re-shaken as in rule 2.
8. Winner of game has first shot in following game.
Place eleven shake balls (Pills), numbered 5 through 15, in the shake bottle. Each player receives one of the pills which he keeps concealed until he either wins or leaves the game.
Each player gets one shot per inning, in turn, and may play any numbered ball without calling his shot.
First player in each game breaks the balls from anywhere between the string line and the edge of the Amos and Andy board with sufficient force to drive at least one object ball to the one cushion rail.
Only object balls that are lodge in holes on the game board count for score. If a player makes more than one ball on a shot, he immediately chooses the one he wants to count and disregards the others. Numbered balls remaining on the game board, outside of a hole and balls shot into pockets are immediately spotted on the break spot at the foot of the table or in a frozen line directly behind any ball that may be occupying the spot at the time.
If the cue ball comes to rest on the Amos & Andy Board or in a pocket, the next player shoots from anywhere back of the string line, in front of the game board.
The winner is the player holding a pill whose number exactly matches the total of the numbered ball plus the number of the hole in which it is made. Regardless of who made the shot and the game is over.
Example any player makes the number 2 ball in the number 4 hole; Player holding pill number 6 wins ( 2 ball plus 4 Hole equals 6 ), Another player make the 12 ball in hole 0, Player with number 12 pill wins the game.
Player making any object ball in either the Amos or the Andy hole wins and the game is over.
Player making any numbered ball in the Amos & Andy hole wins double and the game is over.
Only the winning player exchanges his pill for a new one, before starting the next game.
If no player has won when all the object balls have been made, rack the balls for a double header game. The winner of the Double header game is considered the winner of the preceding no decision game.

This Game Board appears to be for a 10 Foot Table or Billiard Table
Notice the Top Row has 14 Holes
Has 10 holes at the top and would appear to be for a 7 or 8 Foot Table
The Double Keeno is closer to the front than most of the board.
In the image we can see all but two numbers, missing one on the first row and one on the second row
The bottom row left number will be a 16 on some boards says cue
The next row up is I believe the left number will be a 2.
If I had this image when I did made my board I would have laid it out this way, though my board is pretty close

Want to make your own game board, Here is some information that will help you.
The game board pictured above is 50" x 20" and is for a 9 foot pool table
From the Top First and Third Row have 13 holes
Second and Forth Row have 12 holes
Holes are 2 inches in Diameter with the edges beveled
Center Line of the Rows First row is 4.25" Second is 8" Third is 11.75 and Fourth Row is 15.75"
Holes are 3.75" Apart
Tip after you layout lines for the rows, Start from the center
From the Top the second and fourth row that have an even number of holes, start your first holes 1.875" to the left and right of center.
Front Edge is beveled so the ball can roll up the ramp.
Some of the boards show a rubber bumper in the top two corners to stop a ball from rolling into the corner pockets.
For twice the fun flip the board over and bevel the other side and make it a two sided game board.
Double KE-NO is placed in the Center of first row
Single KE-NO's are place in the Third row, 3rd hole from the left and 3rd hole from the right.
Game board for an 8 foot table will be smaller 44" x 20"
Because the size of the board smaller it will have fewer holes like the Amos and Andy Board Shown
From the Top First and Third Row have 12 holes
Second and Forth Row have 11 holes
Double Ke-no is placed in the Center of the second row
Single Ke-no's are place in the third row, 2nd hole from the left and 2nd hole from the right.
I've tried to be as accurate as possible but before you start drilling holes double check your work.
Though it has been done a number of different was this appears to be the original layout.
